Be careful when taking a sip from the hopium bottle these days.
“War is a way of deception”, knew the Chinese strategist Sun Tzu (also: Sunzi). He left the world a collection of war lists that are still valid today. Fighting is not an act of clashing mere physical strength and power, but of cleverness and cunning.
“If you intend to do something, do it as if you didn’t intend to do it. If you want something, do it as if you weren’t going to use it.”
This also includes being weak when you are actually strong and, depending on the situation, sometimes being strong when you are actually weak.
Are you over it?
Many people feel that we are now “somehow out of the woods”. Trump will “drain the swamp” and ensure peace and prosperity. Kennedy will make America (and then the world?) healthy again. Elon Musk will take humanity to a new level (and Mars) and save freedom of speech in the process. Bitcoin will now only go up forever, etc. But everyone knows that the world is rarely as black and white as we would like it to be in our heads.
Instead, we are witnessing the emergence of a new oligarchy, which is opposed to the old oligarchy and is partly intertwined with it. A cycle of elites, as described a hundred years ago by the theorists Mosca, Pareto and Michels. All elites serve themselves above all, the citizen and his interests are played out in the spaces in between. It is not a sign of civic maturity to hope for better rulers. Behind this is the naïve dream of the selfless “philosopher king”, which has occasionally existed in history, but very rarely. The tyrant was much more common.
Nobody knows the future, but many like to take a sip from the hopium bottle. Hope can be a drug that blocks the view of reality, even if it gives you a feeling of confidence at first. The most difficult time is when power changes hands. An old squad steps down and a new one takes over. The incipient loss of power by the old squad can degenerate into a death struggle that can be devastating. Real power does not materialize exclusively in leadership figures, these are placeholders. The invisible centers of power can be found in lobby groups, in interest groups, in administrative structures. These tend to remain unaffected by elections. Invisible power is the great unknown in the game of power; it determines the inertia or dynamics of the system.
(The daily hypocrisy of Big Tech)
Recently there was an interesting conversation between Joe Rogan and Marc Andreesen. Andreesen is something like the godfather of “Silicon Valley”, the most successful investor in start-ups such as Facebook & Co. He talked about how the Biden administration wanted to bring AI completely under the control of the state and about the fact that around 30 crypto entrepreneurs in America have lost their bank accounts. They are considered “pep”, aka “politically exposed persons”. In short, they are a thorn in the side of the power apparatus for some reason and are therefore on the blacklist. They are not told exactly why and by whom they were expelled, only that they are out of the system.

The invisible centers of power
This is “administrative power” par excellence. The apparatus of power acts like an organism, it simply eliminates those who could be harmful in terms of power politics, removes the ability to act and reduces the radius of action to almost zero. Without a bank account, you can’t get far “in the system”, you can no longer operate economically, you can’t even rent an apartment. Who makes this decision? Nobody knows. In Germany, too, a number of people have been similarly cut off, from activists to journalists. The best-known example is Querdenken-founder Michael Ballweg. Everything was taken from him (except his Bitcoin).

Rogan’s reaction was extremely surprising: “Wow, wow, wow”. He was completely taken aback and seemed to be hearing about it for the first time. If this is true for Rogan, how great is the ignorance of the rest of the population about the secret mechanisms of power? As Sun Tsu said:
“If you know yourself but not the enemy, you will suffer defeat for every victory you win. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will lose every battle.”
How well do we know ourselves and the enemy? In any case, the amount of unknown ignorance is much greater than the amount of positive knowledge.
A lot can still happen before the “change of power” in America, and after that anyway. Change rarely comes from above and is hardly ever “in the bag”, but is a very lengthy process. Pandemic whisperer Peter Hotez is already listing a litany of new possible pandemics, and he can hardly wait. Christian Drosten and Georg Mascolo’s discussion book also already has the next pandemics in its subtitle. So far, Germany has not experienced any kind of reappraisal of the pandemic, although there is a great need for this among the population (alarmingly low among academics, by the way). The process of coming to terms with the pandemic is being transferred to reappraisal simulations, which are being administered as a media sedative.
(After all: the majority wants clarification, the highest rate of brainwashing is achieved by academics, i.e. Zeit readers (Screenshot: Zeit.de)
The reappraisal simulation
The most recent example of this is the two-part Deutschlandfunk program about the RKI protocols. The program simulates a meeting between critics and perpetrators. In reality, they never meet, but express themselves in separate parts. In Part 1 (“The Suspicion”), the leakers of the protocols, such as Aya Velazquez (a stage name, by the way, also strange for a journalist) and Paul Schreyer from Multipolar, have their say. Deutschlandfunk also takes care of the framing, degrading facts to opinions. For example, they pretend that it is Paul Schreyer’s opinion that there were planning games in the run-up to the pandemic. But it is a fact (Event 201).
In the second part, the pandemic actors and their supporters have their say without contradiction. The second part is entitled “Classification”, a favorite term of the mainstream. But nothing is classified here. Instead, the old mainstream framing is rehashed without contradiction. Christian Drosten was one of the main participants in the cover-up of the true origin of the pandemic, actively participating in conference calls with Fauci & Co. and deceiving the public (and a court in the Wiesendanger trial) about his role.
In his book from June 2024, he still repeats the fairy tale of the natural coronavirus origin. FBI, CIA and the study by a committee of the US House of Representatives see it differently? Not a peep from the “classifying” Deutschlandfunk. Lauterbach continues to throw sand in the eyes and ears of the listener, justifying the political upgrading of the danger situation with compliant experts. In addition, the Americanist Michael Butter is allowed to pour some of his usual sauce on the subject of conspiracy theorists. Conspiracy theorists are, of course, the critics, because they are looking for a “smoking gun”. Anyone looking for evidence has to look like a crank. He says nothing about the conspiracy practitioner Drosten and his Fauci-Zoomcalls.
The time of the alleged transitions is the time for maximum vigilance. As Ludwig Börne said: “Losing a delusion makes you wiser than finding the truth.”
Society as a whole is not even halfway to shedding its own self-delusion.
